北京时间11月23日，在英超第12轮的比赛中，曼城客场1-2不敌纽卡斯尔联，遭遇联赛客场两连败，他们近期各项赛事的四连胜也就此被终结。
赛后根据统计，此战过后，曼城近5个英超客场比赛输掉了其中的3场，总成绩仅为1胜1平3负，这样的输球数等同于他们此前13个英超客场比赛的总和(6胜4平3负)。
此外，这也是曼城自2024年12月(英超客场三连败)以来，首次在英超联赛中遭遇客场连败。
