北京时间12月1日，据韩国职业足球联盟官方消息，K1联赛2027赛季将扩军至14队，单赛季三循环踢39轮比赛。
官方消息，K联赛决定2027赛季扩军至14队，采用三循环赛制，共进行39轮比赛。K2联赛明年将有2支球队直接升级，另外的名额为升降级附加赛（还取决于金泉尚武是否垫底）。
另外，新赛季（2026赛季），K2联赛迎来三个新军，新赛季K1联赛为12支球队，K2联赛为17支。
