北京时间12月10日，据阿森纳球迷博主“HandofArsenal”消息，赖斯虽然身体不适，但他本想随队前往欧冠客场。
在阿森纳欧冠的赛前新闻发布会上，阿森纳主帅阿尔特塔表示，赖斯在上一场比赛结束后生病了，而且病得挺严重，因此没有随队来到欧冠客场。
本赛季，赖斯代表阿森纳在各项赛事出场22次，贡献2球5助攻。
